Oxford University Press is pleased to announce that the is now available
online at
The American Journal of Epidemiology is the premiere epidemiological
journal devoted to the publication of empirical research findings,
methodological developments in the field of epidemiological research and
opinion pieces. It is aimed at both fellow epidemiologists and those who
use epidemiological data, including public health workers and
clinicians.
The American Journal of Epidemiology online contains the full content of
each issue of the journal, including all figures and tables, beginning
with the November 1, 2000 issue (Volume 152, Number 5). Abstracts are
available beginning with the January 1, 1975 issue (Volume 101, Number
1).
Tables of Contents are available beginning with the July 1, 1974 issue
(Volume 100, issue 1).
Each issue will be placed online approximately on the date it is mailed
to
subscribers; therefore the online site will be available prior to
receipt
of your paper copy. The November 1, 2000 issue (Volume 152, Number 9)
is
the latest issue online, and the next issue is scheduled to be online on
November 15. Online readers may want to sign up for the eTOCs
(electronic
Table of Contents) service, which will deliver each new issue's table of
contents via email. The web site also provides access to information
about
the journal, such as Instructions to Authors and subscription
information.
The American Journal of Epidemiology is currently available on a free
trial basis until January, 2001; subsequent to the trial, access to the
full text of articles will be by institutional license, which comes with
all institutional subscriptions, or by individual or student
subscription.
All other access (e.g., to Abstracts, eTOCs, searching, Instructions to
Authors) will remain freely available.
We would appreciate comments, critiques, questions, or suggestions from
you; these can be sent via the Feedback link found on all pages of the
site. Feedback from readers will help us decide what new features would
be most valuable for the site and how well it is working for its
readers.
The site is being produced in conjunction with Stanford University's
HighWire Press, which also works with other medical and research
journals,
including these frequently-cited journals: BMJ, American Journal of
Clinical Nutrition, Journal of the National Cancer Institute, and
International Journal of Epidemiology. A list of online medical and
research journals and their URLs is available at
http://highwire.stanford.edu or

A list of journals available from Oxford University Press is available
